We will tell the next generation

Psalm 78 v 4

We love having babies, toddlers, and children as part of our church family, and there’s always something going on for them.

  • TOTS.

OUR TODDLER GROUP up to 3 years

Join us every Monday during term time at 9:30 a.m. at Christ Church Waterside for a warm and welcoming session designed especially for toddlers and their caregivers.

Our toddler group offers a friendly and comfortable environment where you and your little ones will be greeted with smiles and served freshly brewed coffee or tea. While your children enjoy fun and educational activities like playing with toys, making crafts, and singing, you can connect with other caregivers, seek support and encouragement, and form lasting friendships.

Our aim is to build a supportive community for both toddlers and their caregivers, where everyone feels welcomed and valued. Don't miss out on this wonderful experience at Christ Church Waterside! Come and be a part of it.

  • Children and Youth Ministry

2000 years ago Jesus said ‘Let the little children come to me” and we believe He continues to say it today!

Our hope is that the children we serve will experience the extraordinary, extravagant love of God and they must have bags of fun.

The time the children spend in our Children & Youth groups should be both relevant for their lives now and be solid, foundational preparation for their futures. It should help them to be prepared to make a natural transition into adult church.

Christ Church Waterside is a place where, in community with others, Children & Youth can feel safe and valued whilst they discover and celebrate who God has made them. Their gifts and talents must be encouraged and opportunities given for them to grow and to serve in the Kingdom of God.

Through worship, prayer and bible teaching we want our Children & Youth to enjoy the awesome presence of God and ‘taste and see’ that He is good, developing an appetite for more!

Parents are primarily responsible for their children’s spiritual growth and at Christ Church we want our children’s ministry to be an excellent support for, and close partnership with, parents.

All our Children & Youth workers are known to the church, have undergone Safer Recruitment in accordance with National Guidelines and Safeguarding Training which is refreshed and updated every 3 years. For more information please go to our Safeguarding Page. We also endeavour to have a First Aid trained team member in our groups.

  • Schools

At Christ Church, we have some amazing connections with the local schools. We're passionate about not only supporting the children but also the teachers. That's why we're always searching for new ways to serve them, whether it's through fun lunch clubs, engaging assemblies, or even offering classroom support.

We feel truly blessed to have built such awesome relationships with both the teachers and the children. We're always looking for ways to strengthen our communities and bring people closer together. So, if you're ever in need of a helping hand, don't hesitate to reach out to us!
